This initiative, launched under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, encourages every Indian to hoist the Tricolour at their homes, offices, schools, and communities – turning streets and skylines into a sea of saffron, white, and green.
🌟 What is Har Ghar Tiranga?
The campaign, first introduced in 2022, aims to bring the national flag closer to the hearts of citizens. It is more than just a display of the Tricolour – it’s a symbol of unity, pride, and the collective spirit of a billion dreams.
From 13th to 15th August 2025, citizens are encouraged to:

Uttar Pradesh – The state government has announced the distribution of 60 lakh flags free of cost in urban poor localities, with the help of self-help groups employing nearly 29,000 women.

Telangana – The BJP has planned to distribute 40 lakh flags across the state, linking it with patriotic outreach programs.

Tamil Nadu – A unique Tricolour Exhibition at Madurai Junction railway station showcases the history of the national flag.

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh – Massive rallies, cultural programs, and cleanliness drives are planned to honor the campaign.

This year’s Independence Day theme is “Nation First, Always First”, highlighting the importance of unity, service, and dedication to the motherland. Schools, government buildings, and private institutions are preparing special programs – from patriotic songs and street plays to kite festivals featuring the Tricolour.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called upon every citizen to join the campaign, stating:
