Nasha Mukti Abhiyan is a national campaign launched by the Government of India to combat the growing menace of drug and substance abuse, especially among the youth. Initiated by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, the campaign aims to create awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and alcohol, and to promote a healthy, addiction-free lifestyle.

The Abhiyan focuses on community participation, involving schools, colleges, NGOs, local leaders, and government bodies. Awareness programs, rallies, street plays, seminars, and counseling sessions are organized across the country, especially in the 272 most affected districts. The campaign also emphasizes the rehabilitation of addicts through treatment and skill development.

Drug abuse not only ruins individual lives but also affects families and communities. Through Nasha Mukti Abhiyan, the government encourages people to come forward, support affected individuals, and help build a strong and drug-free nation.

Every citizen has a role to play in this mission. Spreading awareness, supporting victims, and saying no to drugs can make a huge difference. Together, we can create a healthier and brighter future for the coming generations.
